Terms of Service

Last updated 8 September 2026

These are the terms you agree to when you buy something from Nuvu Holistic. We've written them in plain language rather than legal boilerplate, because you should be able to actually read them.

1. Who you're buying from

Nuvu Holistic ("Nuvu", "we", "us") is a skincare and body-care business based in Ghana. We make and sell shea-based products for skin, body and hair. When you place an order on this website or by WhatsApp, you're agreeing to what follows.

2. Our products, and how to use them safely

Everything we sell is a cosmetic product for external use on the skin and hair. Nothing we sell is a medicine, and nothing on this site is medical advice. Our products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition.

Please:

If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or being treated for a skin condition, check with your doctor before using scented products.

Colour, scent and texture vary slightly between batches. Our shea is unrefined and comes from real harvests, so one jar is never identical to the last. This is normal and is not a fault.

3. Prices

All prices are in Ghana cedis (GH₵) and include the cost of the product only. Delivery is added at checkout and shown to you before you pay.

We can change prices at any time, but never after you've placed an order — what you saw at checkout is what you pay. If a price is listed wrongly because of a mistake on our side, we'll contact you before dispatching, and you can either pay the correct price or cancel for a full refund.

4. Placing an order

Adding something to your bag doesn't reserve it. Your order is accepted when we confirm it, not when you pay.

Occasionally we may have to cancel an order — if something has sold out, if we can't deliver to your area, or if we suspect the payment isn't genuine. If that happens you get a full refund, and we'll tell you why.

5. Paying

We accept MTN Mobile Money, Telecel Cash, AirtelTigo Money, Visa and Mastercard, processed through Paystack. You can also arrange payment with us over WhatsApp. Paystack's secure window handles your card and Mobile Money details — those never reach this website. See our Privacy Policy for what we do and don't see.

Your order is only processed once payment has actually cleared.

6. Delivery

We deliver within Ghana. Pickup is available at no charge if you'd rather collect.

Delivery is quoted per order rather than charged at checkout. Dispatch riders price by exact location, so we don't pretend a flat rate exists. You pay for the products on the website; we then message you the delivery cost before dispatch, and you pay the rider on delivery. If the quote doesn't suit you, say so and we refund the order in full — nothing will have been sent.

How long it takes

Orders are packed and dispatched within 1 working day of payment clearing. From dispatch, expect:

Accra — within Ring Road
1–2 working days
Greater Accra — other areas
1–3 working days
Kumasi
2–4 working days
Other regions
3–5 working days
Pickup
Ready to collect within 24 hours

Orders placed after 3pm, on a Sunday or on a public holiday are dispatched the next working day. Working days are Monday to Saturday.

Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees. We use third-party couriers and dispatch riders, and we can't control traffic, weather or a courier having a bad day. If your order is going to be materially late, we will message you rather than leave you wondering.

Please give us an address and a landmark that someone can actually find, and a phone number that's switched on. If a delivery fails because the address was wrong or nobody could be reached, a second attempt may cost another delivery fee.

Risk passes to you once the order has been delivered to the address you gave us.

7. Returns

Returns, refunds and damaged deliveries are covered on a separate page: Delivery, Refunds & Returns. It forms part of these terms.

8. Reviews you write

If you submit a review, you're giving us permission to publish it on this site, along with the first name you gave and any photo you attached. We read every review before publishing and we may decline to publish one.

Please only review something you actually bought, and don't submit anything false, abusive, or containing someone else's personal details. Don't upload a photo you don't have the right to use. We remove reviews that break this, and you can ask us to remove yours at any time.

9. Our words and pictures

The Nuvu name, logo, product photography and the text on this site belong to us. Please don't reuse them commercially or present our products as your own. You're very welcome to share our posts and photos on social media — that's the point of them.

10. Where we stand on liability

We take real care over what we make, and we stand behind it. If a product arrives faulty or isn't what you ordered, we'll put it right — see the refunds page.

Beyond that, we can't be responsible for a reaction to an ingredient you already knew you were sensitive to, for use in a way the product isn't intended for, or for indirect losses such as lost time or income. Nothing here removes any right you have under Ghanaian consumer law.

11. If the site is down

We try to keep the site working, but it's a small business website and we can't promise it will never be unavailable. If it is, WhatsApp us and we'll take your order that way.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update this page. The version that applies to your order is the one that was published when you placed it, so the date at the top matters.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana, and any dispute will be dealt with by the Ghanaian courts. If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands.

14. Talk to us

Almost everything is easier to sort out with a message than a dispute:
