This is a small skincare business in Ghana, not an advertising company. We collect what we need to send you your order, and nothing else.

The short version

Who we are

Nuvu Holistic ("Nuvu", "we", "us") is a skincare and body-care business based in Ghana, selling through this website and by WhatsApp. We are the ones responsible for the information described here.

What we collect, and why

When you place an order
Your name, phone number, email address, delivery area and delivery address, and what you bought. We need these to take the payment, pack the right things and get them to you. The email address is where your payment receipt goes.
When you write a review
The first name you type, your star rating, which product you're reviewing, your written review, and a photo if you choose to attach one. Reviews are read by us before anything appears on the site. Once published, your first name and your words are public — so please don't put your phone number, address or anything else private in a review.
When you join the mailing list
Only your email address, and only if you type it in and press Join. We use it to tell you about new products and offers. Every email we send has a way to stop them, and you can also just message us and we'll take you off.

What we deliberately don't do

This website sets no cookies. It runs no Google Analytics, no Meta or TikTok pixel, no advertising tags and no session tracking. We cannot see which pages you looked at, we are not building a profile of you, and there is nothing here that follows you to other websites.

This is unusual enough to be worth stating plainly, and you're welcome to check — the page's source code is public, as it is on every website.

Payments

Payments are processed by Paystack, a licensed payment processor regulated by the Bank of Ghana. When you pay, Paystack's own secure window opens and your card number, Mobile Money PIN and any one-time passwords are entered there, not here. We never receive, see or store them.

Paystack tells us only whether the payment succeeded, the amount, and a reference number. Their handling of your data is covered by their own privacy policy at paystack.com/terms.

Where your information is kept

Order details, reviews and mailing-list addresses are stored in a database provided by Supabase. The website itself is hosted by Netlify. Both are established service providers, and both may keep the data on servers outside Ghana, which is normal for internet services. They store it on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

Access to order information requires a password-protected login. It is not readable by visitors to the website, and it is not published anywhere.

How long we keep it

Your choices

You can ask us at any time to:

Message us on WhatsApp and we'll sort it out. We may need to keep basic records of a completed order even after a deletion request, because we're required to keep sales records — but we'll tell you if that applies.

One honest caveat. If you order or ask us something by WhatsApp, that conversation sits in WhatsApp, and it's governed by WhatsApp's privacy terms as well as ours. We can delete our side; we can't delete theirs.

Children

This site is meant for adults and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us their details, tell us and we'll delete them.

Changes to this policy

If we change how any of this works, we'll change this page and update the date at the top. If it's a significant change and you're on the mailing list, we'll tell you.
